Ukraine War: NATO chief warns Russia over ‘dirty bomb’ claims

Any Russian strike against Ukraine over claims from Moscow its neighbour is developing a “dirty bomb” would be a “very serious escalation”, warns NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg.

He made the comments aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush during a NATO training exercise in the Adriatic.

Western governments have already dismissed Russian claims that Ukraine could use a “dirty bomb” in the war as spurious and “nuclear blackmail”.

Sky News’ security and defence and editor Deborah Haynes was there.
