The body of missing hillwalker Kyle Sambrook and his dog have been found in Glencoe, police confirm.

The 33-year-old and his beagle, Bane, were seen last weekend in the Lost Valley area in the Scottish Highlands.

Scotland Police said the bodies of a man and a dog were recovered by mountain rescue teams and the Coastguard on Saturday afternoon, which have now been identified as Mr Sambrook and his dog.

Police said Mr Sambrook’s family “wish to thank all involved in the search and have requested their privacy be respected.

“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances,” police added.

Mr Sambrook arrived in the Highlands on Saturday 18 February at around 3.30pm.
