GB News show with Sunak broke broadcasting rules, Ofcom finds

UK

GB News could face punishment after a programme with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was found to have broken broadcasting rules.

Regulator Ofcom said it is “starting the process for consideration of a statutory sanction against GB News” after finding that a “People’s Forum” featuring the prime minister breached broadcasting due impartiality guidelines.

In response to Ofcom, GB News said: “Ofcom’s finding against GB News today is an alarming development in its attempt to silence us by standing in the way of a forum that allows the public to question politicians directly.”
