Police hunt for man considered ‘risk to women’

UK

Police have appealed for the public’s help to trace a man considered a “risk to women” after he absconded from a care facility in east London.

Balasankar Narayanan was last seen at around 6.40pm on Sunday 4 August – when he ran away from staff carers who took him to a park during escorted leave.

The Metropolitan Police warned the 44-year-old “can be violent” and should not be approached if he is seen.

He is believed to have links across London, notably Newham, Greenford, Hammersmith, Highgate and Ilford, as well as the West Midlands.

He has previously been found in Grays, Essex – and also in Manchester, police said.

Anyone who sees Narayanan should call police immediately, the force added.
