A man was airlifted to hospital after three people were injured by a herd of cows and a bull near a famous beach in the Outer Hebrides.
Emergency services were called to Eoligarry in Barra shortly after 8pm on Saturday.
The 56-year-old man and two women were walking between Traigh Eais – which featured in the 1949 film Whisky Galore! – and Traigh Mhor at the time of the incident.
The man was flown by air ambulance to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The two women were treated at St Brendan’s Hospital in Castlebay.
They have all since been discharged from hospital.
Police Scotland said “advice and assistance has been given to all parties”, adding that “no further police action” would be taken.

Health and Safety Executive (HSE) figures show 32 people were killed by cattle across the UK between 2017 and 2022, accounting for a fifth of all deaths in the agriculture, forestry and fishing industry.
HSE said eight people died after being injured by an animal between April 2022 and March 2023, making it the “most common cause of death” in the industry during that time period.
