The founder of a sports streaming service whose customers include Manchester City Football Club, the Premier League champions, has regained control of it days after the firm collapsed into administration.
Sky News understands that Andy Meikle, who founded Recast Sports in 2018, has engineered its purchase from Interpath Advisory, which was appointed to handle the company’s insolvency last month.
The terms of the transaction were unclear on Wednesday.
Mr Meikle has secured the deal through a company called Content Technology Partners.
Recast, which was based in Edinburgh, collapsed after the failure of funding talks.
Most of its staff were made redundant, but a handful are said to have transferred over to the new owner.

It operated a subscription-free live and on-demand platform which charged sports fans to watch specific content.
In addition to Manchester City, Recast partnered with Internazionale, the Italian Serie A club.
